Lidsdale Social/training ride
From Lithgow head on the Western Highway toward Bathurst. After 10-11Km you will head uphill and see thick pine forest to the right. It's dual carriageway here, and there's a right turn across the other lane into Forest Ridge Drive (signposted and a sealed road). About 50m on the left there's a turning where you can park in the shade. There's also an old concrete section of the highway just past there with masses of parking.
Group training ride around the forest while it's still there
Yellomundie slow then faster
There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
A few laps of Yellomundie.
Looking to take the first lap slow through the technical sections having a few goes where necessary.
After this have a couple of quick laps for some for some good old fashioned fun.
All are welcome and feel free to ride faster or slower as you wish, its hard to get lost at Yellomundie. On the first lap I will make sure no-one gets left behind (I usually come last anyway!). My 15 yo will probably also be along, but somewhere up ahead on the track.
If the weather is looking dodgy the night before I'll make a post to say if its still on the night before.
Friday arv social training rides
Lithgow Workmans Club Car park, Tank St
Stappo and a few of the guys at Clarance are hoping to get a regular Friday afternoon crew together in Lithgow
Riders of all abilities are welcome and there is a few beginners in the group
The plan is to head out and up the drift.
It's an out and back ride and the first 5km is definately the hardest as the drift is a big challenge.
DSo beginners can turn back at any time while the more experienced guys push on.

The Oaks Up & Back
Glenbrook station carpark.
I plan on doing The Oaks up & back as a training ride as the trails on the Beaches could do with more time to dry out. I am not sure of exactly how long but have put 4 hours as a guess.
Plans Changed - Oaks Up Plus Extra Km's Then Back
Glenbrook station carpark.
A nice early morning ride in the mountains this will be a medium paced training style ride with minimal stops.
The ride is the standard Oaks up and back with an extra detour further up the mountains to stretch the total ride out to about 70km or so.
Estimated time in the saddle is 4.5 hours.
Oaks up and back
Glenbrook station carpark.
Haven't been here in... like... forever!
So, meet at the train station, quick spin up to Woodford and back. Optional side trip to Pisgah Ridge. Back to the bakery for some lunchtime pies.
Chweeeeeet
A Proper HTFU Training Ride
Glenbrook station carpark.
My semi regular Saturday morning training Ride - Oaks up plus detour and then back down.
This is a long and steady training ride it is not a smash fest but definately a hard ride it is non stop and not a social outing.
Starting at Glenbrook at 5.30am sharp I head up the Oaks then from Woodford I head further up the mountain for some sweet single track riding and then back to Woodford and down the Oaks. Its a good 4 and a bit hours in the saddle without a break if you cant ride for that amount of time without a stop then this ride is not for you.
