BMORC Lazo Night Adventure
Carpark at the back of the shopping centre at Hazo.
Charge up those lights get on the trails. See if we remember the way round in the dark!
Thinking about having dinner at the Thai restaurant at Hazo afterward for those interested.
Tough day on the bike
I knew I hadn't done as much riding as I would have liked leading into this one but I was feeling pretty good and was reasonably confident.
I got off to a good start up the fire trail and entered the single trail in the lead and settled down into a tempo and rhythm I was comfortable with.
Back out on the fire trail Beggsie blasts past near the top of the hill. I was feeling good and thought of challenging but in my last race (round #1) I rode much better by just sticking to my own tempo so Beggs hits the main ST a little in front of me.
Which XC dual suspension bike for under $3K?
Looking at getting the Giant Trance X2.
I'd appreciate any thoughts / recommendations on the best xc dual suspension bike for $2K - $3K.
Thanks
Live Well Lithgow, here comes summer series #4
From Lithgow head on the Western Highway toward Bathurst. After 10-11Km you will head uphill and see thick pine forest to the right. It's dual carriageway here, and there's a right turn across the other lane into Forest Ridge Drive (signposted and a sealed road). About 50m on the left there's a turning where you can park in the shade. There's also an old concrete section of the highway just past there with masses of parking.
Live Well Lithgow is a joint initiative between Sydney West Health and Lithgow City council to promote healthy living to our residents.
We're happy to be pitching in with weekly Tuesday night races at our Lidsdale state forest venue.
All riders are welcome. Entries cost $5 + license fees (day licenses are available for $15)
Lights are essential and we recommend at least a 5w halogen equivalent.
Laps consist of 3 to 5km loops and we will try and use a few different loops throughout the series and riders have the option of completing 1 to 6 laps
