Mini DH Rydal. #6
Lidsdale state Forest, North of Rydal and south of the highway.
From the highway come into Rydal, cross the train tracks and take a left before the Pub (Showground signposted.)
Go Straight up passed the showground buildings (Optional Car park) and turn left onto the Bicentennial National Trail. Follow this until you get to a T intersection and go Left up a snotty little hill and then Right (Optional Car park)
Follow this out for about 3km. There is another optional car park about 1km before the worst of the mud holes/
Park at the clearing before the road heads steeply down on the left.
OK Back in the day... well, just 4 years ago really, we use to run mini DH of a Tuesday afternoon before XC and I've been wanting to start that back up as it got both sides of the the club together for a bit of fun as well as offering a bit more of a regular thing for the DH riders and a good light option for beginners.
Trails like Acid Bomb and Fordy's were modified sections of the XC loop. They weren't that steep or Technical but were a bit of fun.
Rydal DH Dig
Rydal Showground. Top of Market St
From the highway come into Rydal, cross the train tracks and take a left before the Pub (Showground signposted.)
Go around the top side of the show ground and follow the road around to the left. This will take you around towards the top side of the cemetery. from there a couple of cross rd will bring you back tot he bicentennial trail and thus the car park
I'm heading out to Rydal Saturday around 2, I'll be scoping out another option for the mini DH/enduro races
Feel free to join me or bring some tools and do a bit of clean up/raking on the xc loop ahead of the 3hr.
Lake Canobolas MTB Park - Build arvo
Front gate. Lake Canobolas Road. Opposite the entrance to Lake Canobolas.
Please DO NOT park on the side of the road here, if the gate is shut then park at the Lake and walk/ride across.
No Pets.
We intend to dig this Saturday from 1pm. There may be a machine to help us move more dirt to make bigger, better, more stuff.
We'll probably dig for about 3-4 hours then have a ride.
Just remember bring your hats, long sleeves & pants and boots etc.
We will have a few tools but please bring a fire rake, mattock and/or shovel if you have one.
See you there!
WSMTB 4hr @ Wylde trail recce
Wylde MTB Car park and Trail head is just off Elizabeth drive located next to the Sydney International (Cecil Park) Shooting Centre. The turn off can be found on the left 3km Due west from the M7 Motorway or on the right 600m Due East from Mamre Road.
Looking to familiarise myself with the circuit for next weekend's race, and get in a bit of training.
First lap will be at a moderate pace to see where everything is and maybe session anything tricky that we find, followed by a couple of hours of chasing each other round and round
While I'm way off what I like to think of as my usual pace (which hasn't been so usual of late) this won't be such a social ride, I'll be looking to keep the speed up ... as much as I can. Hopefully that means some of you're going to be a bit (but not too much) faster than me and I'll be pushed to keep up.

Ah, the end of the quarter, BAS, quarterly tax, paper work... But it wasn't always so.
4 Seasons 3hr: Spring
Meet At the Rydal Showground

Spring has sprung. The grass has ris.
Rydal is where the action is
Welcome to Round #3 of the 4 Seasons 3hr series.
Ah, the end of the quarter, BAS, quarterly tax, paper work... But it wasn't always so.
Remember when life was simple? Remember when you rode your bike to have a good time?
When you rode because it felt good and the company you rode with and the tracks you rode were more important than having 1000 categories to choose from and a big list of swag to choose from.
Well CTMBC are taking it back.
4 Seasons 3hr: Winter date changed to Sunday

The dog days are approaching

Welcome to Round #2 one the 4 Seasons 3hr series.
Note: this round starts at the earlier time of 1 so we get the last lap in before dark.
Ah, the end of the quarter, BAS, quarterly tax, paper work... But it wasn't always so.

Autumn
The season of change. Bosom buddy to the maturing sun.... Who hath not seen thee oft amid thy store.
What ever the hell that means.
Welcome to Round #1 one the 4 Seasons 3hr series.
