A short lap of Rydal

Rydal is cool in that you can link segments together in a myriad of different ways to keep it all fresh

This week we did out Jive Turkey, then crossed over to link in Robbies Run. Up Snake tails. Hard right and into Hazard County. Hard left and back along the dump run.

I caught lap on the gopro using a gimbal mounted to chesty

Every week I head out to Rydal, set up the track and tell myself "I'm not going to sprint off the start this week. I haven't got that fitness."

Every week I line up at the start (no warm up), give the speech, say "Every one ready, set, Go!"

Every week we take off the red mist descends and I bust my gut to get a good spot into the single track, send my heart rate through the roof and then blow up trying to keep my spot.

every week I die in the arse in the second or third lap, get heart rate back under control then come home strongish but suffering

Rydal
Meeting Point:

From the highway come into Rydal and take a sharp left after crossing the railway. Follow the dirt road up past the houses. *Please* Be mindful of the locals, they bought places here to get away from the rat race so take it slow and keep noise to a minimum.
At the top of the hill take the left fork and follow the road past the cemetery.

Back to $10 entry fee this week as state forest fees have gone up
$5 for juniors
$15 for a day license

Please remember the dirt road leading to the cemetery is a residential street and we don't want to up set the locals so go slow and keep noise down... Actually considering the dust last week it might be best to go in via the showground so take the left before the pub and head around the top of the showground and follow the rd around to the left to just before the cemetery then duck back down to the Bicentennial trail and thus the car park
