Dwellingup 100 is about to happen again.

I am fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy WA the event charity.
This will be my ninth D100 and fourth or fifth year (lost track)fundraising.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Through my business Oakley Australia have donated a pair of sunglasses and a spectacle frame. These are on offer at a discounted price and proceeds go to my fundraising.

Anyone ridden Derby Tas? I'm heading there in Oct and was wondering what it's like? From what I've seen on line it looks pretty good.

Thieves using social media to target high end bikes

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

I got blown off last time I raised this but I see a report in yesterday's Manly Daily from the Northern Beaches LAC's crime prevention officer that three bikes a week are being stolen using social media to identify targets.

Recommendations:
* Understand and use your app's privacy settings. I have my strava settings ar maximum, with an offset location. However, it is still possible to circumvent this.
* Have your profile set to private
* Don't post photos of your bike
* Make sure riding apps do not contain residential locations or photos of bikes

Has anyone ridden at Falls creek?

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

I'm tossing up mt buller vs falls creek. I believe there are great trails at both, but they are 4 hours apart!
Buller has the new alpine epic trail, falls creek has similar I believe and has also hosted championship races..

If I lived in Melbourne, I could do both on different weekends. But I live in sydney!

Any recommendations and insight appreciated.
Cheers

Refunds from Cape to Cape

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Anybody had any problems getting refunds from Cape to Cape people? I had to withdraw my application to ride due to injury and was advised I would get a refund up to 60 days from completion of ride, which has well and truly passed.I email them, no reply...I call and get advised it will be in the bank..but no cigar. Riding this year, not likely....
