Trying To Choose a Scott Mountain Bike

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Hi everyone,

Could you please help me as to what "Scott Sports" Mountain Bike to get. Following are the criteria I am trying to meet:

PRICE (AUD) (RRP): $2500-$4500
SUSPENSION: Back and front, fully adjustable with the handle-bar adjusters

I will be riding on a mixed terrain, however I think about 60% of the time I will be riding on trails, and the rest on more rough stuff (rocks, jumps, logs, etc.).

If you can give me any advice it would be very much appreciated!!!

Thanks for your time!!!

Reassembling Anthem... after servicing RP23.

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

I've viewed other posts & Youtube vids in regards to the actual service, but I'm a little worried about just how to remove & reassemble the RP23 from my 2009 Anthem.

I've searched & can't find any info on the rear triangle assembly & torque pressures for re-assembly. Anyone?

Recent Giant test ride day

Did anyone go to the recent Giant 'Test Weekend' based around Ourimbah & Awaba?

I'm keen to hear about the new full carbon frame XTC 29er, and also the new XT or XTR drivetrain.

Anyone?

Fancy XTR gear... Discuss.

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Well - I just purchased a second hand 2009 Anthem Ltd X. I have to sell my 2009 X2 Anthem now.

The reason for this post is in relation to all this XTR kit on my new bike. As much as some of it is lovely (eg, rims, gear shifts!), other parts (eg. brakes) seem no different at all. Besides the actual huge cost of XTR, I'm just wondering if any of the NoBMoB group have upgraded to XTR only to wish they hadn't? I certainly couldn't have afforded this bike brand new.

BTW - the bike is great. Smiling
