Hey guys,

Thanks all for the great ride today. It was good to meet some like minded blokes. Looking forward to some more rides. 10 points to Kingy for his ghetto tyre mending skills, not to mention his massive big ring wheelies (show off)..

Anyone who is interested, I hit up Yellowmundi with some mates for night rides on Thursdays. We usually get out there about 7pm. Won't be making it this coming Thursday as i'm away in the country side for work, but will be there the following week.

Also I would like to organise a downhill day at Buli this coming weekend (9th of May). I know it's Mother's day but it's the last weekend I have the work van, and it's a massive transit that would easily fit 7-8 dh bikes.

Anywho let me know if you keen.

Thanks again,
Andrei

Thanks for the ride guys, looking forward to actually riding a bit more next time.

Sorry to be the one to hold everyone up. Thanks for the fix Kingy. In the end it was actually a pinch flat opposite the fix that stopped me - I was trying so hard to miss every rock and root.

I got my wife to pick me up from the gates at Glenbrook, so it wasn't that bad a walk. I made it to about where the single track crosses the other single track that seems to go nowhere to the left and come from the main firetrail. I came out on the firetrail at about the Euroka turn off. Was probably about a 3-3.5km hike.

I should be in for the ride in a fortnight - will find out and sign up later.

Cheers, Ian

That was a wicked job by Kingy aka Mcguiver!

Great ride, much soreness around the legs! I can't believe how good everyone can climb.

Sorry Andrei won't make it for the mother's day ride, I will be Masterchef for the day at HEC house.

See ya's soon.

To the all who did the climb beforehand
I was rooted by the time I made it back to the car at W'ford

Very enjoyable ride - haven't done the oaks in ages

Will catch up again at Knapsack on the 16th

BTW I'm now Andy Bloot rather than debloot as my nobmob name has been migrated

Had much fun although I was lagging at the back most of the time. Best part was flying down the 6km downhill in such a large group!!!

After everyone left from the bottom of the rock pool, my friend and I rode back up to Portal Lookout and then came back down and did the rock pool again before heading back to Glenbrook station car park. Looking forward to the ride on the 16th at Knapsack.

(Hmm, off topic just noticed in the preview my avatar from nobmob has gone and it says new next to my name.

The best bit was Kingy didn't get off his bike for the whole repair!

How old was the Kenda tyre? I am running tubeless with a non tubeless tyre and the front is about 18 months old. Been thinking it might be time to get a new one.

Kingy is Macgyver he can make toilet paper with leaves and Steak from Snake. You will get home from an epic with Kingy not only still riding but with a full belly.

Kenda was about 4 months old - but who knows how long it sat in the factory waiting to be put on the bike (OEM tyre).
Running a cross mark rear now, still OEM on the front - fingers crossed.

Also snapped my chain at Yellowmundee on Tues this week........ I just put another quick link in but ill try and get a new chain on before Sun.
