C'mon guys I am takin the night off work with out pay, lets see the numbers demonstrated in the comit phase of things on the calander get on board don't let this opportunity fade away

I am also taking a sickie from night shift at considerable cost, this is just so important to get numbers there!

8 people only so far saying they are coming to the meeting I week out this is not looking good c'mon guys comit get involved!

Andy Bloot's picture

And Michelle is even threatening to take the night off from soccer practice to come

it's now or never chaps and chapettes
Can't afford to be a fence sitter on this one

This goes beyond DH trails and OBR etc
This should be an opportunity to pave the way for mountain bikers becoming a recognised user group in the mountains
And mountain biking a legitimate activity that can't be ignored any longer

We NEED to fill the council chamber
We're aiming for 50 - let's better it

Who's in?

Flynny's picture

Pfffft! taking time off work that's nothing. I'm canceling our usual Tuesday night ride so I can make the trip up from the Go'... Now that's a sacrifice for you:)

Well if I meet someone after the 29th on the trails and they weren't at the meeting they will probably get a lot of whining from me....

I know of a few people coming who aren't on these forums ... will be reminding them of their previous committments over the next few days..

Alright guys, not having been to one of these council meetings before, how are we going to distinguish ourselves from the other people at the meeting; i.e. how is anyone going to know that we're a group of riders?

Kingy's picture

I say that we all rock up in cycling gear, Jerseys and cycling jackets and jeans

Flynny's picture

Sit together, look real bored during 90% of the meeting and then start cheering/booing/clapping/moaning at the appropriate comments regarding bikes......

Should be there just need to get out of regular Tuesday afternoon meeting that starts at 4.00pm at Kingsgrove office and always goes too long.

Can you wear your Oswald Osbourne slippers please mate
There may be some female councilors
And they will be putty in our hands if you step out in those puppies

Yes count me in I will be coming to the meeting. But Kingy instead of bike riding clothes can we rule out lycra, it's not a good look in meetings. I'll be wearing my raceface hoodie.

Cheers, Gus

BM Epic's picture

Sorry Gus,
I will be in lycra, smooth to the touch, accentuates my fat belly, it's a winner!...hehehehe!

Vince in his slippers
Todd in his lycra

Is anyone wearing that gimp suit I hear about from time to time

BM Epic's picture

That gimp suit belongs to Adam(southy), he will explain all!

Does anyone need a lift up? I've got room in the ute for a few so if you want to go but don't have a ride let me know. I'm not sure how long the meeting goes for but I'll be leaving Katoomba to get to work at Penrith by 2300hrs.

See you all out the front!

I might be a little late ... but I'll be there.

at last count ... I've gotten about 20 emails ... couple more letters that I know have been sent via snail ... not a great response ... but betterer then last time.

Thanks to all those that took the time to write in ... was a good diverse range of people from PhDs ... presidents of P&Cs ... a few of the young'uns clocked up some well thought out letters, couple ladies chipped in as well ... and even the occasional articulate vandal

Good one Ladies and Gentlemen

see youse tomorrow
