STP?

Anyone know what is happening at the STP?

If this land was useable to us (and I may be dreaming), I think it would make a great location for a small 4x track/dirt jumps (would require alot of fill to build it back up against the sandstone wall) and a great place for a skills park. No enviromental restraint. A trade off could be the removal of the crazy camals on the other side of the reserve and regenration of that entire area(not just the camels) as it is disgusting to look at! Safer jumps would be better.

I agree its a spot that looks perfect for something. Will have to ask council people what they have planned for that spot.

I guess it will depend on what the contractors have been assigned to do in the removal process. I assume they will just remove everything and then do some planting of something, but who knows?

My only suspicion is that because it is on the water course that flows through there they will probably want to rehabilitate it?

The area around the old jumps I'd imagine would have to be looked at as whether it would be good to get those jumps worked on so they were in good nick again, maybe with some easier ones. I also keep imagining a pump track in that area one day!

Hi guys,
I have a couple of points about the STP site as a concept for future track infrastructure. Firstly and significantly that land is presumably owned by Sydney Water. Secondly it may well have significant piping infrastructure remaining in the area that Sydney Water would want to be able to service etc, although this is entirely speculative. So if it'd be great if someone had a useful contact in Sydney Water that could inform BMORC of Sydney Waters intentions for the old STP site.

The area listed in the report to BMCC as the 'Rockface' already has the dirt jumps and appears to be well suited to a flow trail and/or dirt jumps. The existence of the dirt jumps is an inidcation that a flow trail or similar might be publicly acceptable. That said and I can't recally if those dirt jumps obstruct access along the management trail.
