The foundation of National Parks and wildlife is not the NPWS (now more officially the DECC)

i don't think that area will be of any use because nationl parks have already said that they have closed the north end(over shaws creek) for bush regeneration, not that there are any signs there, but we are no longer to use that area for racing.
Al,
I did get an email from Vicki after the workshop and she had looked into the POM for Y'mundee.
Apparently the POM only allows mtb up to the creek (from memory) and the northern section POM doesn't include mtbing.

Be interesting to see what happens.

I wonder if the donated land includes the lower area formerly used by WSMTBC, including Shano's chute and what I know as 'swan lake'
That part is soooo grown over now, it would take a massive effort to get it back up, that bloody chute owes me a broken collar bone!
Wouldn't you want a good collarbone off it?
so is it to be managed by the mundee rangers ?? and fall under the same PoM ?
600K doesn't seem like a lot of money for all that Land ... I kinda figure since I'm unemployed, Power Ball or Oz Lotto shirley has to be mine soon

I was told nothing was closed ... but it was a very off hand conversation and I didn't know specifically the areas that "were closed" ...
I'll have a chat the next time we meet up with the rangers.
Well yes it was a bit slip-slidy especially if wet.
I think forget those tracks unless/until fire goes through someday. Or walkers reinstate them perhaps.
Obviously only possible if managers agree.
