For those that were at the Monday meeting ... and or who know this type of stuff.

Could you put up some links or phone numbers of general information about the Walks that they "the Gents from the Historical Society" conduct ??

Apologies, I haven't searched yet ... but I thought it would be an interesting family fun day thingy with the kids and with me prolly carrying both of the tikes along whilst we bush walked would be a good leg work out.

I'll ask the mother-in-law as she knows the guys through family history stuff.

This Saturday's meeting point is the cinema at Glenbrook at 1315 hrs, if memory serves me correctly. Remember to bring $5 and to sign the book! Mog may be able to confirm as he was talking to Doug and Tim.

is all I can find quickly... will PB you Doug's phone number.

Someone needs to go for a walk with Doug and check out the sight locations, or needs to spot them on a ride... I'm pretty sure where they are and that they aren't on any tracks. It will be a case of making sure that the access trails stay open for them and probably making them walkers only.

If anyone is going down there can they have a look... see the map referenced here.

Three sites

1) Dunn's Sawmill.. apparently just a few foundations are left with concrete blocks. Do not confuse with concrete rubbish that was dumped in the area more recently.

2) There is a dam built on the creek, I think you can see from the main walking track. I suspect you can walk/ride down to it by turning off down the steepish eroded single track loop that kind of goes to nowhere.

3) In the "caves" section there are the sandstone "walls" roughly made by the workers who camped there when building the railway tunnel to flatten the area out.
