So we are meeting in Glenbrook Park at the shops? Or Glenbrook Oval at the skate park?
Have ridden at Knapsack before but didn't know my way around ,so will be good to ride with locals.
Glenbrook Park at the shops sounds dandy.
No can do big fella, this is daughters birthday and dance concert!
Bummer Todd. Moggio, make sure you bring a map as some will expect us to know the way.
I know the way really well. Trust me I don't get lost there even if it is only from having a virtual map in my head..... only problem is I ride the place horribly, slowly and walk lots of bits, so I am a crummy guide
Between us all there is a lot of knowledge on the place so we will be fine...just means we will have to all be social and talk a lot to cover any confusions.
my daughter has a big swim meet at homebush both days that weekend ,so no riding for me!
I think we worked out before that Mel's b'day is on the same day as mine
So that is making this iffy for me as well
Will probably not know till the day
Depending on how my head feels
And what M has planned for me
Its only a morning thing Andy... lots of time to hit the liquid pot pourii later.
Still not sure yet, I've got a work X-mas part on the night before, so may not be in a state to ride. That said the party is Laser-Tag & Dinner, so I may very well in fit to ride after all
Ill make it out for the BBQ if nothing else. I've got an engagement party the night before and also a baby 'naming day' (whatever that is) in the arvo before that. Both served with a side of the amber temptations. Maybe ill be deso that night for the first time in a fair while and be fit to ride the next day.
Farkinell, I'm out. I'm sitting at the computer at work and glance over at the roster on the wall and it's my second day shift. How could this happen? What an oversight. Heads will roll, believe you me.
Seems a few are iffy for this date
What about the following weekend of the 19th
I could make that - anyone else keen to re-schedule?
19th is good for me!
19th is good (at the moment).
Thats fine for me. Like the 19th better actually because it will be post council meeting.
What do you guys reckon about a change to the Sunday after
JP will probably get a day off for it!..so he is a maybe!
I think that works better for me as well. That said, I don't want it changed just on my account, only if it's better for the whole.
I would like to attend this ride if it were on the 19th
So seems to be a lot more interest in the 19th.
Does anyone have any objections to changing this to the 19th Dec ??
I don't think I'll be able to make the 19th, but if it's better for everyone else, go ahead and change it. I'll be definitely looking for a ride next weekend though - this wet weather's driving me crazy.
Yeah if it gets moved we should maybe organise a Sunday morning Lazo or something as a group ride.
See how I go closer to the date but I should be able to make this one. That is of course if you are allowing ring ins
Looks like I'm in for this one. Will be good to see how the "accepted" loop goes, as I think I do it different to everyone else...
See you on Sunday!
Anyone is welcome Brian, its always good to meet new faces.
Hey boyz (and shelas)
Might have to join you all on this one, haven't been on the bike for toooooo long.
Andrei
I can't make this now.
OK, forecast is for cloudy with the chance of isolated showers developing and a top of 25. Sounds perfect!
Snag sangers and soft drink supplied for $4-$5. As far as catering goes I'm running by the numbers who have RSVP'd only. If you want to rock up and haven't put yourself in, please do so.
REMEMBER- the meeting point is at Glenbrook Park across the road from the shops, where we'll have the post ride BBQ.
See you tomorrow.
Thanks JP for organising this!!!
Heya Mate,
Jo is coming down for the BBQ after the riding, so count her in to the catering if it's not too late. Plus I may probably have another mate coming up from Sydney, so better add him in! (I'll eat his share anyway if he doesn't rock up!).
See you tomorrow!
No worries.
I also have a mate joining us ,allthough he will need to go early and wont stay for BBQ.
Is the meeting point the carpark in ross st or the one in park st? I dont no this area at all
Carpark across the road from the shops!!...see you fellas there!
Meeting point is the parking lot on Park St acroos from the shops and near the tennis courts.
Just got the ok for this. I am coming along now for the ride but goto bail before 12 so no lunch for me Thanks
Stephen
Thanks for everyone coming to this, was a great day. Really good to see people up for a social ride as I think that is an important aspect of what BMORC is about as well.
A big thanks to The Brown Hornet for his work and supplies on organising this.. great effort!!!
Just found I had a leach on me that fell off up at the shops and left my sock filled with blood... little charmers.
A thoroughly enjoyable day.
Good to meet so many new people and hang out with the usual suspects.
Thanks.
thanks to all the BMORC guys for fun ride this morning on the great techy single tracks of Knapsack, lots of banter and some good tests of skill all ending in a sausage feast at the park ,thanks to JP for organising this event and I look forward to more rides in the area in the future
cheers
Craig
Thanks for all that came along, and especially thanks to JP for the snags & soft-drinks at the end! Was great to meet a few more people, and I love social, chatting rides. Plenty of time to rest!
My legs are buggered after all that techy climbing. Pretty stoked about getting that root climb on the left line, but I'm still to get the loose twisty climb out of the gully... Next time Gadget... Next time ;)
Yeah top day fellas, some points of interest, Gab getting the root and rock gully, first time i have ever seen somebody get that line...nice work!...Great to see Tim getting his riding happening, that trance is a bewdy!
It looked funny seeing Mark using gears..or was he?, John-Paul turning into a riding animal with that single speed!..Also, you dont do many rides in the presence of a Slingshot, what a bike!
Biggest surprise/ or statistic of the day..absolutely no stacks!!!
Another thanks for the day, Higlight was the Lunch!
Great day!! Really enjoyed the ride and the company.
Thanks for the snags JP.
but we ended up riding from Leonay great place too ride if someone knows where they are going we went on the same path a few times but were in there for a few hours too
Hope to see you all on the 15th Jan at the BMORC fundraiser?
