Dear Councillors,

As a resident of Blackheath, and a regular mountain bike rider, I would like to congratulate council staff for their efforts in formulating the Knapsack Reserve Mountain Bike Plan, and fully support the recommendations to be tabled at the next council meeting (Item 12, Mountain Bike Track Planning - Knapsack Reserve).

I know how hard it is to find appropriate locations in the Blue Mountains for cross-country and down-hill riding, and I'm eager to see Knapsack Reserve tracks restored, improved and formalised, and then shown off to the rest of the state as a successful example of how riders can enjoy technical off-ride riding in a fantastic wilderness environment.

Finally I would like to show my support for the Blue Mountains Off Road Cyclists group and, as a member, look forward to helping out on trackwork, bush rehabilitation, rubbish collection and any other activity that will help this reserve and its facilities be preserved for future generations of residents and outdoors enthusiasts.

Regards,

etc..

I have replies from 2 councillors, both stating that they will support the plan on Tuesday night. Haven't heard from the others.
