Hi guys,

Anyone has ever been in or around the Bents Basin state conservation area?

What is nice, is that you can have a swim there, there is a deep waterhole, part of the Gulguer Gorge on the Nepean River between Camden and Penrith.

On the DECCW page, the cycling icon is on but there no further details like it should be.

Cheers

Was there last year for a swim.

Ive been there a few times, Great place to camp and have a swim (With a great Jump rock, make sure you jump atleast a metre out to avoid the rocks) Camping grounds have BBQs (well the rusted kind, take a hot plate) Shower and toilet block with running water and free fire wood.

But as far as cycling goes, its the take your kids kind of thing with a 100metre long management trail that crosses the creek to the picnic side for day vistiors. There is a 15min walking track to a lookout that over looks the Basin (Have yet to walk it).

As far as I know, there is no trails in the actual conservation area south of the Basin and the surounding areas are Private Properties.
