2011 Summer Series Rydal #7
From the highway come into Rydal and take a sharp left after crossing the railway. Follow the dirt road up past the houses. *Please* Be mindful of the locals, they bought places here to get away from the rat race so take it slow and keep noise to a minimum.
At the top of the hill take the left fork and follow the road past the cemetery.
With thanks to Stella Maris Mining Services and Centennial Coal we will be continuing the weekly Tuesday night races on the new trail at Rydal.
Back to $5 entry fee this week
$15 for a day license
Please remember the dirt road leading to the cemetery is a residential street and we don't want to up set the locals so go slow and keep noise down... Actually considering the dust last week it might be best to go in via the showground so take the left before the pub and head around the top of the showground and follow the rd around to the left to just before the cemetery then duck back down to the Bicentennial trail and thus the car park
The loop so far is proving to be a fun but challenging little course. Flogged as we were last week at the end of racing pretty much every one opted to go out for a reverse loop, we had so much fun we ended up doing 2 laps.
The plan will be to reverse the loop every other race.
Also rather than standing around gas bagging, after the last rider comes in let head to the pub for a beer while we yak.
If you plan to eat at the pub its best to give them a call to let them know so they can organise a cook and stuff (02) 6355 6208
Also, slightly later race start of 6.30 to allow the bathurst crew a little extra time to get here

Just confirming it's still 6:30 start time?
Yeah. 5.45 rego opens 6.30 racing starts.
Meeting times are 'Ready to ride'. If this is a race, put the race start time as the meeting time!
If this is a race one needs to have time to rego, etc. for then those details should be explained in the body of the post. Yeah?
Problem with that rob is you get people turning up at 6.30 to rego. "Oh but the website said to meet at 6.30"
That's why I started putting the rego time in as the meeting time for races. Organising MTBers is like herding cats through water...
The body clearly states 6.30 race start
"like herding cats through water"...
