End Of March Update

Been a bit slack of late keeping people updated on what is going on with regards to Knapsack and after some questions, thought I should post something.

Essentially we are all waiting for the REF report to be done on the proposed new sections of trail at Knapsack. This covers the areas of proposed and realigned trail that can be seen in the maps we have provided in the report that can be found here http://bmorc.com/node/16871.

In early February Kingy organised the marking of the realigned sections of the DH while Big Chuck and myself marked in pink tape the realignments for the XC. These were put in place for the inependent consultants to come in and do the environmental assessment report. The consultants have been there I think on a few occasions and I know council staff are expecting it anytime now.

So hopefully we shall have some feedback on the report sometime in the near future.

As far as the next council meeting goes when this will come up, it will be at least a month after the final report is tabled so that it can be presented in the business paper. So the time frame depends on how long the REF takes to be finalised.

At this stage we have discussed with BMCC staff the idea of going in and doing some maintenance on the existing trails and alleviating some of the erosion issues. They are positive to this idea and are just making sure that this work would be covered under the existing POM.

So that's pretty much it for the moment.... will try and do better at keeping everyone updated from now on.

Thanks Moggio for the update and the continued efforts with liaising with BMCC and the consultants. Trust me it is appreciated.
