Nice one Hawkeye, good recent bit of video, well done. I really enjoy this bit too.

While I can't yet get up the bit just before you stopped, I also enjoy the rest of the track from there on, it's a "hammerfest" across the cobbles and then the few small rock steps after before turning down the hill. Vomiting has been discussed after this bit as it's normally the end of my ride.

I do have to say though, this section has been the scene of my only OTB (3 of!), 2 broken ribs and a night in hospital reattaching a tendon in my arm (with subsequent 4 months off bike!)

Now off the check out your other video heading down to the lab. Smiling

I quite enjoy the cobble section as well. I usually feel thoroughly beaten up afterwards ... my HR gets quite high there, eclipsed only by the top of Heartbreak Hill. I need to do it more often... hopfully will smoothen out my riding and improve my line selection.

I could feel all my back muscles this morning after doing only two laps there yesterday Sticking out tongue

thats what the cobbles are for me.... My HR usually spikes as i go up the double step before they start - which means at that point im holding onto my brekky as best as i can... Actually thats where ive had my funniest OTB's. The best one was when i was screaming thru the cobbles - clipped a tree, did the superman - and waited for the bike to land on me... and waited, and waited... Nope - it didnt come down at all. It was hanging from a branch above me - not quite sure how it got there, but the guy behind me thought it was hillarious!
Anyway, the way the rain is at the mo - will be a while before i repeat that act....
