Hi all,

Seems like my pads are wearing unevenly on my Juicy 3s. the top of the pads are wearing quicker than the bottom. is this a case of sticky pistons? warped disc? how can i fix this?

Thanks

I don't have expert knowledge with bikes, but I believe the same principles apply with cars.

I once had an old Datsun that had a similar problem. The brakes just didn't quite feel right & the front right brake pad was wearing uneven. The problem for me was the pistons were severely in need of re-greasing. Once I re-greased all the front brake pistons, I had the discs skimmed & replaced the pads just to be on the safe side. Problem solved!

If you spin your wheel at high speed, you might be able to see a warp in the disc? Also, if you are going a medium to slow speed on a smooth road, and you brake 'ever so slightly' you will feel a little wobble if the disc is warped. (Same in a car, you'll feel the steering wheel wobble a little for the front wheels, and the rear wobble a little if its the rear discs)
