Social ride: Rydal and Surrounds
The main rd in has been dusty as all get up so in an effort to keep on the good side of the locals it might be best to come in via the showground.
From the highway come into Rydal, cross the train tracks and take a left before the Pub (Showground signposted.)
Go around the top side of the show ground and follow the road around to the left. This will take you around towards the top side of the cemetery. from there a couple of cross rd will bring you back tot he bicentennial trail and thus the car park
When the guys from Trailflix had me on their Podcast Grant expressed his disappointment that he had just discovered Lidsdale and only got to ride it the once so I invited them up to check out the new stuff at Rydal.
Anyway the dates been set as Sunday the 11th of September. They plan to meet me at the shop at 8.15 and we'll head out from there. I figure by the time every one is geared up and ready to go it's going to be closer to 9 before we get pedalling.
The plan is to check out Rydal, and head across to play on the motorbike tracks on the south side of lidsdale then back for a feed at the pub. After lunch we could either head up Bonaventure or just play around with a few more laps of the track, whatever people are keen for.
