2012 resolution - go tubeless.

anyone had any luck with these wheels? Whats the deal with centrelock/6-bolt wheels, if I run centrelock discs on a bike that was running 6-bolts, do the calipers need much alignment?

cheers

I have an XT centrelock rear hub laced to a 700c CXP33 road rim for commuting use, and the Mavic CrossLand and CrossMax SLR wheelsets I have drop straight in ,with no tweaking to either brake caliper or rear derailleur required.

Your mileage may vary, though.

FYI, picked these up for $230 delivered from Bike24.com in 6 bolt config. Will report back once broken in.

I went to the MT65 with center lock while previous rotors were 6-bolt (Avid). Bought some Shimano center lock rotors and using with my Aivd Elixir calipers; planning to upgrade to Shimano XT 2012 brakes in near future, but that's another story.

A little sideways adjustment to calipers and I had to put some extra spacers on the rear 160mm because of the way the center lock system is connected to the rotor, but now working fine.

So no problems, and seems a very good, cheap tubeless set up. Using a UST Kenda Nevegal on front and a Maxiss Crossmarks LUST 2.25 on back. Pumped up tyres using a good high volume floor pump and was amazed when each tyre sealed without needing to go to compressor. Very happy with tubeless so far.

also picked up their schwalbe UST tyres, just that bit cheaper than Wiggle/CRC!

can't wait!
