HI Guys

The family and I are contemplating a trip to Tasmania over the summer break. The plan would be to do some riding while were there. ( planning to take our car and bikes over on the Ferry )

Can anyone suggest some good places to ride or to base ourselves ?

We're not looking for any wild downhills, the boys are 8 and 13. They are comfortable riding at Awaba, Wingello, Sparrow Hill, Mount Annan etc. We spent a week at Forrest earlier this year and that was perfect. Rent a house in the village and ride to a number of different trails nearby.

I've never been to Tasmania and shamefully, know little about it so any input from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

CB

Was meant to be going to Hobart last week , but had to cancel, was looking forward to it.
Spoke to a guy down there that said that North South track was a must do. Also Clarence mtb park was on the agenda.
Check out heaps of trail info here:

Can't wait to get another chance to go down there.

Advertised for the Spirit of Tasmania early next year-something like $5 for a child??

I know of someone who did a bit of racing up here who moved to Tassie last year. The comments I heard were mainly about how he couldn't get much riding in as there were too many snakes for his liking! Ended up playing golf a lot in stead.

The guy(s) from Wollondilly seems to be in Tasmania at the moment, checkout the Wollondilly Trailblazers MTB Club facebook page:
