I've broken the inner plate on a Shimano SLX M675 10 Spd Shadow + GS (Medium cage) derailleur. Anybody know where I could get a spare? I can't seem to find one anywhere this side of the equator!

Merlin are doing the whole rear mech for $50. Don't even bother with your LBS as they'll have to order the part you need from the wholesaler/distributor and they in turn will have to get it from Shimano. I guarantee this will cost far in excess of a whole new rear mech (I speak from experience).

Your best bet is someone who has a spare six derailier or other with the same part lying around that they've busted and can salvage a part of their's.

Either that or an excuse to upgrade to an xt derailier. Crc has them for $85.00 Smiling :) Smiling

it would probably help to post an exploded diagram with the exact part you need.

Good luck!

Jono.

Thanks for the Merlin tip. They do have some good pricing.

I have found replacement plates at 4.08Euro a pop with 7.70Euro delivery which is less than AU$20.

My derailleur is brand new (3 rides!) so i might get that as a spare anyway.

Hi Jono. See the exploded view now attached. It appears to be one of the weak/susceptible points in the derailleur as I have asked around and most of the old derailleurs have breakages on the same component.
