Tuesday Night Racing at Rydal.

Women and kids under 16 get free race entry (License fees apply)

Also the come and try incentive is back too, so your first race with us is free.

If you could click the star to show your intention of coming so we get an idea of numbers that would be great.

6:30 race start so 5:30pm rego opens, if you are new or need to renew your license please turn up earlier rather than later.

We are fairly relaxed, A grade just means you do more laps and we encourage every one to have a go, we don't have podiums or prizes so it's about getting out there and competing against your own time and your mates.

So don't be intimidated by the "race" tag. We all just go out to do our best.

Doing the higher grade with more laps will gain you more series points.

There is a shorter track for juniors and we've had increasing numbers in u13s and u10s

Racing starts at 6:30pm
Lights

Lights are a must from outside day light savings and through to Late October so you wont be able to start unless you have atleast one working front light during those times

We recommend at least a 5w halogen equivalent, Helmet mount to help see around corners.

The club has spare lights that we can loan out to anyone wanting to try before they go and buy lights. You will need to contact Craig in advance to ensure they are available and charged up

Catch you there

Hi
I would like to dry doing one of the races at Rydal on the 19th.
- I am 50, do I need a licence, if yes where do I get one and how much does the hole lot cost?
- I have never riden Rydal, is it a bit silly to race at night without first ridding the track during the day?

Hi there.
Yep you do need a licence. You can purchase a day licence on the night for $20 but MTBA are currently doing a 2 month free membership promotion so its best if you go to their website and follow the membership links then bring the print out with you.

Race entry cost $5

You'll need lights. A helmet light is highly recommended as it help you see around corners, and Rydal is (in)famous for its corners.

Nothing silly about trying it out at a club night race. It's all fairly relaxed atmosphere and all the obstacles are either rollable or have B lines
It's always a good idea to get there s little early if possible and have a roll around to see what to expect before racing starts
