Have found my DT QR skewers (stock on 08 trance X1) are binding up
AM looking to get some XT QR skewers, rang around all LBS's and no-one stocks them
Ordered some XT at LBS but Shimano have taken over 6 weeks and waiting, Dunno what is going on there???

Was wondering if anyone can recommend any other after market skewers
Hope?
XTR??
Crank Bros Split QR??
and any online retailers??

any advice would be appreciated

If you don't need to remove your back wheel too often, why not go bolt up axle. stronger stiffer and more reliable, although less convenient. search ebay for skewer.
MacMahone has some for $80 - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MacMahone-Quick-Release-Skewer-CroMo-Axle-Carbon-Clamps_W0QQitemZ250372377098QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Sport_Cycling_Parts?hash=item250372377098&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A1|39%3A1|240%3A1318

I'm with Nic. Clean your skewers mate and save your cash. DT skewers are just fine and some of the better ones out there..
Hint; use citrus degreaser to clean, rinse, dry, then lube with chain lube.
