Bottomless Tokens

Just wondering what peoples experiences with bottomless tokens have been like. For those who may not be familiar with bottomless tokens take a look at this: https://www.sram.com/rockshox/technologies/botto...

I've been riding around with the standard factory installation of two tokens in my Pike (140mm travel), however, I removed one before today's ride and was very pleased with the results. Running the same PSI I found there was an improvement in small bump compliance and overall plushness.

Hiya,

I have a 6 years old Specialized Carve Pro, which I took into me local bike shop (the same bike shop I purchased it from) to report a crack in the Frame Chain Stay. The bike was assessed by Specialized and I have been informed that my warranty claim has been rejected.

Gloves

During the last 3 months I have gone through three sets of gloves. What do you recommend to buy for trail riding with gel inside so you don't get pins and needles.

FOX Servicing

These days local bike shops can replace seals on FOX shocks & forks but that's it. Anything else needs to be done by the importer Sola Sports.

A couple of weeks ago I was at my local bike shop, Velocipede at Parramatta, and told them my shock needed to go to Sola and asked what the quickest turnaround would be as I've heard nightmare stories of delays and every day my shock is away is a day I can't ride...

Rear tyre almost rolling off rim.

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

I'm having problems with rear tyres coming close to rolling off the rim on my 27.5 Anthem.
I'm running Stans Arch EX rims, and used to run a snakeskin Racing Ralph 2.25, but due to this problem I've recently changed to an Ardent EXO TR 2.25 on the rear.
During high grip hard cornering off the brakes, the tyre rolls to the point where it is about to burp, but doesn't burp. All grip is lost for a second or so.
It happens most rides, tyre pressure is always between 30 to 35psi, running tubeless with stans sealant.

Any ideas?
More pressure?
Wider rim?

Cheers.

Rockshox Reba Pushloc to Crown Manual lockout

Hi, I currently have a Handlebar Pushloc fitted to my 2012 Rockshox Reba Forks of course it doesnt work so I want to fit a Manual lockout to the top of my fork so my question is do I need to buy

1. a new Damper "and" the Manual lockout kit ( blue knob) or

2. just the Blue Knob Manual Lockout Kit

the reason I'm asking I've read, its just a matter of removing the damper from within the fork, unclipping the spring from inside and then screwing back together and then fitting the mew " Manual Blue knob kit" to the top and voila its a manual lockout ?

Individual XT sprockets

Any idea where I might source individual XT sprockets if possible? Have worn one down from riding on the road too much (first mistake) and the rest of the cassette is fine.
Thanks

Newbie!

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Hi all
After a lengthy hiatus from fitness and exercising, I have decided to get my unfit self back on the bike. I used to ride everyday but on a flat bar Merida road bike. I have decided to step into the world of MTB.
As a first purchase I'd like to get something that I can use to get to work (approx. 9km ride) but still be able to get out on the dirt on weekends. After some initial research, I'm guessing a 29er would be the way to roll?
Some background info. I'm 6'3, and 100kg plus.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. No matter how small or seemingly irrelevant Smiling

Cheers Smiling
