MTBA looking for member stories
Hi Everyone,
We are wanting to do a series of campaigns surrounding MTBA and becoming a member and we would like to use some stories from people about why and how they became a member.
Obviously we would be looking to people who have a real story to tell whether that they have overcome something very serious in their life and used mountain biking as their wellness tool.
Kiddie Friendly Tracks Around Orange
G'day All
Heading up to Orange with the family these school hols and was after some local advice on what tracks might be kiddie friendly (5-8yrs).
I am guessing there might be some more suitable options at Lake Canobolas rather than Kinross, but would welcome any pointers.
West Cycle Classic: Throw some sponsorship my way for a good cause
This year I am participating in the 5 day West Cycling classic which raises money for the Westpack helicopter.
While I hope I never have to use the rescue chopper I'm extremely grateful this service exists and the club did, in fact call on it's services at one of the DH races at the Statemine a few years back

The Hassans Walls Plan of Management, discussion paper has been released and can be read on councils website

Over all it is a positive document however there are a few points of concern and I urge all users of the reserve to read through it and have their say using the online feed back form

Condition of the tracks around Orange
Hi all,
CTMBC club kit
I have had a few people ask about another order of club kit.
We need a minimum of ten of each item (Jersey nix or shorts) to get the order set up
If I get enough people to commit I'll set the online order up again
last time I had lots of people say they wanted to order but then only 4 people placde an order. this made it a bit expensive as I ended up paying the below minimum order fee personally and dragged the process out.
If people genuinely want gear let me know by replying here or on the facebook link and if we get enough I'll set up the online order system again
Change of access into Pony club for Pony Express
Please note: the Entry to the pony club off Hassans Walls road has changed
It's not where the permanent rd is going to be, further down Hassans Walls rd. You turn in to the left then right at a T intersection.
At the moment the area is still a construction zone and the land owner has asked that it is not accessed through the day while machines are working. they do not usually work weekends
Central West interclub series
It's been talked about for years and the guys from Dubbo decided it was time for action
All the details will come soon but the gist is each club will nominate one of their usual races as part of the interclub series.
As well as individual honours it will be a battle of clubs too with each club member earning team points to see which club reigns surpreme
