Thank you Lithgow council

We are often quick to grumble about things and I know I have been critical of council in the past but I have had some very positive dealings with them recently and with recent happens in other areas with land managers shutting trails I want to put this up as a good news story

There is this trail on Hassans Walls (The pottery trail) that starts down an old road, now this road was a bit rutted out, has several old turning circles that were havens for rubbish dumper and recently had been the target of illegal fire wood collect who drive into the bush and drag logs out.

Central West NSW info needed- Kincross, Geurie (Bald Hill), Mudgee (The Common)

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

A bit of a 'me time' tour Sticking out tongue, so I'll be on my own and mostly during the week
So wondering if these trails are easy to find my way around

I don't have GPS or a great sense of direction
I believe Kincross is well sign posted
Not sure about the others

Any tips or info on these 3 (+ any others I may have missed) much appreciated
Also if there's any good arvo walk options between Orange, Dubbo, Mudgee

Today's (27-01-15) mini dh canceled. With all this rain the gully will be a mud pit

Hey all. Track needs a bit of loving after all the storms and it's nearly impossible to get every one together so if people have spare time and feel like helping out if you can slip out with a rake an do a little here and there it would be appreciated

Things that need doing.

1. A general rake to clean all the sticks leaf litter and rocks off the trail. Tip here is to rake it off to the downward side of the trail. This prevents it washing back on and also forms a bit of a windrow that helps prevent sediment run off into the bush.

This race almost broke me as a race organiser. I think I can finally look back on it and see the good things about it

Riding around Orange after Christmas

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

I am heading out to Condobolin for Christmas with my wife's family. I was thinking about doing some riding around Orange the day after boxing day.

I have only ever driven through Orange and have no idea where is best to ride.

I will be on a 4inch XC bike.

Can anyone give me some pointers as where might be best to ride??

Thanks in advance!

Orange this Saturday

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Hi All,

I might be heading west to Orange for cherry picking with the family, and it seems that there are some nice trails to be ridden there as well Smiling why not kill 2 birds with one trip.

Looking at the weather observations there looks like Orange copped a bit of rain on the weekend too.
Are the the trails in a ride-able condition ?

Looks like Kinross State Forest is place to ride.
Any inputs are welcome

Cheers,
Mario
