7:23am arrive Woodford Station
I am taking a new rider friend. Based on 05/12/09 ride with same friend, the trip from Woodford to Glenbrook will take 2.5hrs.
This is an ideal invitation for someone that wants to try the Oaks Trail but for one reason or another is uncomfortable starting it alone. You will be more than welcome to stay with me and anyone else that turns up for all or part of the ride but I will stay with the slowest rider(s).
If it is misty / drizzle I will still ride. If it is wet, you will get a thick line of mud all along your back and your water bottle will be covered in mud (i.e. you probably will be drinking a bit dirt with your water). Leave a change of clothes and a towel (for the car seat) in your car.
There is plenty of free street parking nearby - just check the signs.

great to see you (?and ruth?) can make it ... i'll have my floor pump in the boot of the car if you want to check your tires before we catch the train (i'll be parked across the road from the station for a few minutes or so before the meeting time) and i'll bring a minipump with gauge, some co2 and a few spare tubes for the ride just in case (bibs and braces) ... osman and mark b. are also definates ... osman will meet us on the train ... osman wants to test his mettle so it's extra great you are coming ... i'll stay with mark b. ...
fyi: there's another ride at 4pm at kentlyn and another nobmob one on sunday morning 6:15am too (mark s. and mark b. have confirmed for the sunday ride) if you are interested ... mark s. bought a 2009 giant yukon (white) today just for the sunday ride ... hehehe ... white looks super cool ...
talk more tomorrow ... off to work (sag) drinks now ... but want to hear more about the latest addition to the family ...
