Just checking to see what conditions are like ... thinking of heading to Mt York Tomorrow (2/6) or Friday, but if its too wet then I'll do something else.

Feel free to use this thread on rainy days in future to either up date us on tracks near you or pester the locals like I'm doing ... "Bloody Out of Towners"

No!!!! Please do not do that. Just post a trail status update instead.

Thanks Smiling

I don't know what the current conditions are like, but in general the trails at Lockyer's and Berghoffer's at Mt York channel the water straight down the trail. The trails are quite sandy, so they drain quickly, but after heavy rain (I mean downpours) you will find a lot of sand banks on the corners and on all the good lines and in general the trails will only be 50% as good.

If the rain stays away there is a possibility of a Narrowneck jaunt on Friday with Todd and myself (if his wunderbike is working that is!).

It is starting to dry out, i think the Yorkey holds up awesomely well, but i would get Jim( jtheb) to comment on that, i know Grose Head is doing well in the rain, i have fixed up the drainage problem that hits the place in big rains, ther is more to the track than what you have seen from before, much more!
