The Oaks noob ride
Glenbrook station carpark.
Planning on taking a work colleague up to do The Oaks ride. This will be very easy paced and suitable for less experienced or less fit riders who are wanting to "do the oaks". All are welcome of course.
We catch the train from Glenbrook (8:23) up to Woodford (8:54)and ride back to the carpark. Train ticket is required so bring a few $$$.
It's approx 30Km of mostly fire trail with an excellent single trail at the end and of course a very very testing hill riding out back to the car park.
Bring plently of water, sunscreen, spares and food to get through.
I am conscious of the weather, not so much rain but heat and fire risk, so will be monitoring closer to the day.

I'm keen to come do the oaks - have ridden it plenty of times in the past, but only once recently for the Careflight Classic - and we missed the singletrack for that
It's quite possible to get there by train, but I'd prefer not to if it's an option!! So yeah, anyone coming from chatswood-ish with room for me & my bike?

Coming back from holidays on Friday afternoon and need Saturday to prepare for Sunday's triathlon. I guess the timing was always going to be challenging.
