There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
The 2012 WSMTB XC Club Championship is on this Sunday, 28 October. See www.wsmtb.com for details. U10s from 8.30am, U13s at 9am, and main races at 9.30am. Rego from 8am to 8.45am (so we can get U13s away at 9am).
All welcome to race. (note that only WSMTB members can be Champion though).

Rydal track prep working bee
The main rd in has been dusty as all get up so in an effort to keep on the good side of the locals it might be best to come in via the showground.
From the highway come into Rydal, cross the train tracks and take a left before the Pub (Showground signposted.)
Go around the top side of the show ground and follow the road around to the left. This will take you around towards the top side of the cemetery. from there a couple of cross rd will bring you back tot he bicentennial trail and thus the car park
OK we need to do a basic tidy up for the 8hr.
Unfortunately I'm way this weekend but if others could head on out and give the trail a once over that would be great.
Just needs a bit of a rake and a clean. Maye start bunting to define corners and block straightlines.
I noticed a big pile of rubbish beside the track behind the cemetery. Not sure which low life dumped it there but if we can get it cleaned up it would be good as it's not a good look right beside our track.
If you can't make this time feel free to drop out anytime you have chance.

CWORBC - Kinross Afternoon Race
The city of Orange is around 4 hrs from Sydney and 3 hrs from Canberra. Kinross State Forest is situated on the northeast edge of town, a 10 minute drive or 20 minute ride from the Orange town centre.
Meet at the Bulgas Road carpark, Western edge of the forest.
The format (at least for the first month) will be based on the most amount of laps that you can complete in the time period. This makes it easier to manage the daylight we have.
A lap started within the time period will be counted even if you finish after the time period expires. Eg. If you start a final lap with 1 min to go that lap will still be counted when you finish 10mins later. This is the same as the 6/8/12/24 hours enduro format.
We're limiting the race time on the time we have before dark. The first week will be 40mins (unless it's really cloudy and dark and we have to shorten it on the day).
We will start the race at 6:30pm *SHARP*. This is to ensure we have enough time to finish the race. Please be there by at least 6:15pm to register (earlier if you need a day license (ie. a non-member)).
The course for the first few weeks will be up a fire road and down part of the North Shore Track (1.7km - the same course used for the juniors at the bike week ride in September 2012).
Points will be added over the summer to find the overall results for the weekly racing summer series. You don't get any points if you don't come!
We'll have open male and female categories as well as juniors.
Juniors are 13-18 years are welcome to participate too.
Weekly racing will be happening throughout summer so it will be worth your while becoming a member so you don't have to pay the $20 day license each week.
Cost is $5 (+$20 for a day license if you aren't an MTBA member). Please bring your MTBA card.
If you wish to become a member it is easiest for you, us and MTBA if you apply online. See the membership page for details.
