Meeting with Nathan Summers- Recreational Officers of the Blue Mountains City Council BMC - Blackheath Aerodrome Jumps
Blackheath RSL
Make a difference and get involved.
After the Blue Mountains Gazette article last week, about the kids that ride the track we were encouraged to be contacted by Nathan Summers- Recreational Officers of the Blue Mountains City Council BMCC. They have been instructed to arrange public meetings regarding the jump track and dog walking area, and their alternative location. He tells me that it is his job to have meetings to gather information, form a steering committee who will then submit recommendations to council- I guess you have seen it all before at Knapsack.

Power Point (PP) Session 1:
Orange - Club Social Ride
The Track head is at the south-western end of Chambers St at Geurie. Turn south off the highway at the Servo.
For those of us in Orange we thought it'd be good to escape the cold weather and ride at Bald Hill n Geurie and explore their tracks.
Meet there at 11:00 or post here to organise some car pooling.
All welcome!
Orange MTB - Kinross Club XC Race
The city of Orange is around 4 hrs from Sydney and 3 hrs from Canberra. Kinross State Forest is situated on the northeast edge of town, a 10 minute drive or 20 minute ride from the Orange town centre.
Meet at the Bulgas Road carpark, Western edge of the forest.
This month our normal monthly race is promoted as part of bike week. So to encourage new people along we're going to have a more relaxed timed ride around a loop at the forest.
There is a loop that is more suitable for more adventurous riders of about 4km (up 'TTT' and down the 'North Shore' track) and a shorter loop of about 1.4 km. There'll be the choice of doing 2 or 3 loops of your chosen track.
The 1.4km track is suitable for juniors and those newer to MTBing.
Cost will be $10 ($5 for MTBA members, the extra $5 is for an MTBA day participation license).
Glenbrook Social Ride
Glenbrook Park. In the small car park opposite the shops.
Glenbrook to the Oaks(the middle gate) via Euroka Clearing and Bennetts Ridge firetrail, return on the Oaks single track.
All welcome!!
Faulconbridge Ridge Sunday Option
GWHW at the lights across the road from the harware store Blaxland. (Near the Lapston Hotel)
Riding up to Faulconbridge, doing the ridge and returning to Blaxland.
Faulconbridge Point social ride.
The ride begins proper at the gate on Grose Road. This is about 3.4km from the junction with the highway and 450m from the junction with Jennings Road (bear left here on the way out). Currently (Spring 2010) looks like there is 850m of gravel road to drive to the gate.
Anyone care for a lazy Saturday morning roll after watching the opening ceremony? If this ride were any more laid back it would be asleep. Possibly followed by a ride down Chapman pde afterwards. Meet at the gate on Grose rd.
Pony Xpress Walk through
Best place to start a ride here is the Aldi car park at Lithgow
