A loop or two around Knapsack Reserve.
All welcome!!
Orange - Club Social Ride - At Back Yamma
Corner of Back Yamma Road and Parkes Eugowra Road, Eugowra NSW 2806. This is around 25km South of Parkes.
To escape the Orange June cold we have decided to run the social ride on the June long weekend Monday at Back Yamma State forest (between Parkes and Eugowra).
Rod's leading this ride.
Come along to explore the great single track they have on offer out there.
We'll probably stop at the pub at Eugowra on the way back, though maybe bring some food in case we ride too long past lunch time.
Everyone is welcome to come along, the pace will be set by the slowest rider.
Let us know if you are coming along and want to car pool. It's about a 1 hour drive from orange.
Note that phone reception is limited at the forest.
Lazo + Oaks
Glenbrook station carpark.
Meet a Glenbrook for the 8:23am train. An alternative is Andos + Oaks if Lazo is still to wet.
The Oaks Down and return
Glenbrook station carpark.
A tough ride and fast down the Oaks to river and back up to Glenbrook.

We have decided on the track for this weekends race. This course will cater well for all levels of riders, from juniors to elite.
The track is 2-3km long. You'll have options for the number of laps to complete.
The start will be at the near the top of the 'North Shore' track. When you arrive at the forest on Bulgas Rd, keep following Bulgas Rd past the 'normal' car park to the top of the hill then turn left. There is room to park along the fire trail there, the start/finish will be about 50m from Bulgas Rd. Note the meeting point link in google maps above.
Description of the provisional track:
- Berm Me Up Scotty in reverse
- Goat Track Extension in reverse (to dead pig dam)
- Bogan's run in reverse (downhill)
- back up the fire road to the start/finish.

To make sure that our trails are in good nick for the big Single Track Mind 7hr Race on the 29th April (the following weekend) we are looking for helpers to come out to work on a few sections of track Sunday morning.
There's also a few bits of illegally dumped rubbish that would be good to remove too.
If anyone knows of any spots on the STM track that need work then let us know. On the whole the track is riding pretty well but we might as well have a crack.
I believe we mostly need to work on:
- The top of "Bogan's run" just before dead pig dam
2012 CTMBC Enter the Darkness #6
The main rd in has been dusty as all get up so in an effort to keep on the good side of the locals it might be best to come in via the showground.
From the highway come into Rydal, cross the train tracks and take a left before the Pub (Showground signposted.)
Go around the top side of the show ground and follow the road around to the left. This will take you around towards the top side of the cemetery. from there a couple of cross rd will bring you back tot he bicentennial trail and thus the car park
Tuesday night racing at Rydal is back.
5:45pm rego opens, if you are new or need to renew your license please turn up earlier rather than later.
We're a fairly casual club, we don't even hand out round prizes, so don't be intimidated by the "race" tag. We all just go out to do our best.
There are different grades but with us this is determined by how many laps you want to do rather than how fast you are. Doing the higher grade with more laps will gain you more series points.
There is a shorter track for juniors and we've had increasing numbers in u13s and u10s
