Some good climbing and good descent with a few kilometers of great singletrack at the end to finish it off. Early start to escape the heat.
A quick summary from the ride last Saturday
Distance 57.0km
Elevation 1,234m
Moving Time 2:55:28
Out of towner(s) going for a lap of Kinross
Duh
Meet at the Bulgas Road carpark, Western edge of the forest.
Drive out from Orange on the Ophir Rd, before you reach the rubbish tip, turn right onto Bulgas Rd. Follow this about 2km to the forest (the road turns to gravel).
Note that the 'Directions there' google maps link below may not give the best route/destination. It seems that google maps ignores Bulgas Rd when selecting a route and gives the next closest spot. The 'Meeting point' link should be correct.
Hello locals
As part of a 1 week roadtrip i'm looking to come sample some sweet Kinross singletrack. If anyone's interested the more the merrier

Glenbrook station carpark.
Thinking of doing the oaks tomorrow morning. Can go a bit earlier if preferred.
It'll be my first time there in many many years.
Kinross weekend away
The city of Orange is around 4 hrs from Sydney and 3 hrs from Canberra. Kinross State Forest is situated on the northeast edge of town, a 10 minute drive or 20 minute ride from the Orange town centre.
I need to take a trip to Orange on the weekend on family business, so thought I'd visit the renowned Kinross trails and do a couple of laps (40km?)
If anyone from northern Sydney would like to tag along I'm happy to provide a lift, although Saturday afternoon I need to spend doing some boring stuff in town (assess a house for renovations). Can leave either Friday night or early Saturday.
Heading home straight after post ride tank refill (aka lunch).
Let me know preferences so I can make motel bookings earlier rather than later by Wednesday PM.
Wylde MTB Trail Community Open Day
Wylde MTB Car park and Trail head is just off Elizabeth drive located next to the Sydney International (Cecil Park) Shooting Centre. The turn off can be found on the left 3km Due west from the M7 Motorway or on the right 600m Due East from Mamre Road.
As many of you know, due to the heavy rain we have been experiencing over the last few weeks Western Sydney Parklands (WSP) Trust management made the unfortunate decision to postpone the official Wylde MTB Trail Community Open Day scheduled last month.
New Date of Community Day
WSP are now pleased to announce the new event date will be Sunday 12 October (12pm to 3pm).
