Here's some words from Scott again again:
---------------
Big thanks to everyone who came out to the track building day today (17th May) - its starting to look great! keep an eye on the CWORBC site photos, updates and a short (sick edit) soon.

Special thanks to Mark for the use of his leg rammer and Josh for his skills on the digger!

We intend to keep the momentum by having a dig every Saturday from 1pm. There's still plenty to do over the next few months so we can get the track ready for this years STM round in Orange.
------------------

Just remember bring your hats, long sleeves & pants and boots etc.

We will have a few tools but please bring a rake, mattock or shovel if you have one.

Hope to see you there on Saturday!

Cheers

Scott

(These are scott's words..)

Hi folks,

I know it is short notice but If anyone is available this Saturday afternoon to do a little bit of track work out at the new site it would be appreciated. 1 pm Saturday.

Unfortunately last weekends dig was rained/snowed out. Apologies to anyone who turned up.

So whats happened I hear you ask? well so far we have marked out the entire Northern paddock of the sanctuary site just under 4km to be precise. We have also had a contractor in to rough the track in and place soil in areas where we will have berms and jumps etc. A big shout out to Josh and crew at Iconic landscapes who have been doing the machine work.

We will gradually move through the next two paddocks marking and getting the rough in completed. What we need now is to get as many hands as possible on rakes and  shovels to smooth the track and sculpt the features berms, table tops etc - the real fun fun part!

Over the next couple of months we will try and have as many days out there as possible to get the track completed.

I know that Saturday sports are starting up now and people are pushed for time (myself included) but the committee and I would like to start this weekend. So if you are available Saturday afternoon for a couple of hours come out to the site with tools in hand. Bring your bikes as well you can pretty much ride the whole 4kms. It would be good to see how it flows to fine tune berms etc. Besides riding the track is the best way to bed it in.

I will be out there from 1pm (even if it is raining).

Things to bring:
tools - rake, fire rake/mcCloud tools, shovels wheel barrows, mattocks, pruners.

WH&S
Broad brimmed hat, long sleeves and legs. Closed in shoes.  Gloves are handy as well. Water bottle (snack)

Please don't assume that there are stacks of people already involved so your help is not required! So far there are a small number of people doing a lot of heavy lifting with this project, so if you can lend a hand it would be greatly appreciated.

WSMTB will be holding another track maintenance morning at Yellomundee Regional Park, 8.30am Saturday 10 May.

All welcome!

Attend and get 10 points for your XC series, plus a great BBQ lunch by WSMTB - and the knowledge that you are doing your bit for Sydney tracks. If every rider did just one day per year, then OUR tracks would be even better. Have you done your bit? Good tracks don't just happen my magic.

It's time for another track build day. We've had some machines out roughing in a trail and we need to polish it up and also hopefully plant some trees.

Bring your bike to test out the track after digging!

It would be good if you could arrive at the start because there will be a site safety induction required before you enter. But if you can't we can run you through it when you arrive.

IMPORTANT: Because of strict WHS obligations you *must* have a broad brimmed hat and long sleeves and long pants to be able to work - Council will be enforcing this!.

Useful things to bring:
* Broad Brimmed Hat, long sleeved shirt, long legged pants, good covered shoes
* Gloves
* Tools, including:
* Mattock
* Fire rake
* Rake
* Shovel
* Muscles
* Water

Open invitation to everyone!!! This is your exclusive ticket to ride the trail before it opens.

With the track nearing completion and getting ready for an opening, we will be doing a bit of a tidy up spending a couple of hours with the rake, So bring one if you got one. After the tidy up, the trail is going to need some bedding in.

On the day, Synergy will be filming a promo video.

They want all skill levels of riders on the day. They want to see Kids, Weekend warriors, Women and Elites. They want to show this trail can cater for a large range of skill levels.

We are squeezing some track building on Wednesday afternoons until daylight savings finishes(finishes 6th April).

We are planning on continuing work on the tracks at the new Lake Canobolas Mountain Bike Park. So if you currently ride at Kinross and want to give something back, here is your chance. A couple of us have been busy marking out a whole section of track and now have the go ahead to start digging.

It would be good if you could arrive at the start because there will be a site safety induction required before you enter. But if you can't we can run you through it when you arrive. Check back here to confirm a start time, it will probably be 9am.
