Hey everyone im getting sick of the same old here on the north and want to venture a bit wider and have a really good ride. I was thinking maybe ourimbah or somewhere with decent single track and maybe some light downhill...

Can anywhere be suggested?

Thanks all!

I want to plan a mountain bike trip that is In between 150km - 300k. I like to start in the blue mountains and finish in the states west e.g Bathurst, orange, broken hill. If and one has done something like this in NSW. I have seen this something like this in WA,SA. But not in NSW. ( link below )

As there seems to be a few trails currently going through planning with various councils and land owners, is there any chance of making one of them a wet weather trail? It gets very frustrating that there is no where to ride when the rain comes.

I've been on one in Christchurch and although it wasn't technical, it had a few humps and flowed well. The surface was a fine gravel that drained well and was hard packed so maintenance shouldn't be too high. Look up 'bottle lake forest' if you're interested.

Hi there,
I am a 25 year old Aussie/South American living in sydney, I have a 4wd that can carry 3 bikes. Im planning a roadtrip departing from sydney 4-5th and returning the 9-10th of april. The idea will be to visit Downhill tracks across NSW.
If you got a DH/dirtjumper bike and are interested contact me and we can plan out the trip logistics over a few beers.

Cheers
Max

Mountain Bike Park Feasibility Survey

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

The purpose of this survey is to determine the sustainability of a not-for-profit, fully facilitated Mountain Bike Park operated in southern NSW.
The initial plan for the mountain bike park would consist of single track and cross country loops to maintained downhill runs and free ride terrain. Flowing machine made and technical runs, accommodating from beginner to expert abilities. An all day shuttle/lift service will be provided for riders back to the top of runs for continuous gravity fed riding.
The park would allow for weekend camp stay and provide shower and toilet amenities.
