2013 Silly Mentle 100km/50km
Euroka Clearing, Bennets Ridge trail head carpark.
Don't leave a gap in your calendar left by the Stinging Mettle.
The ride will be starting from Euroka Clearing, we will make our way up Bennet's ridge then up to Wentworth Falls via Ingar fire trail. There we can meet anyone that want's to do the return leg via Anderson's, which may include a KOM out of Bedford creek and a double back for a wiggle in the sniggle at Lazo's. Then the home run back down the Oaks more single track before returning to Euroka via Iron Barks.
If there is enough interest I can take down a BBQ for some post race protein and drinks.
Stinging Mettle training/practice ride
Four meeting points depending what stages you want to join us on.
Euroka Clearing, Bennetts Ridge gate (Blue Mts. National Park, Glenbrook) 8am sharp.
Oaks top gate (Woodford) 10am
Old Bodington Hospital (Tablelands Rd, Wentworthfalls, end of tar) 12pm
Oaks top gate(Woodford) 2pm
Going for a training/practice ride of the Stinging Mettle course.
Wont be a cracking pace, more a solid cruise. Feel free to meet us at any of the meeting points. We wont leave earlier than the times stated, but might be a little late if something unexpected occurs. Be self-suficient. Water available at Oaks top gate only.
Cheers

Oaks Evening Ride
Woodford train station (south side carpark)
An evening/night ride down the Oaks and back up by train or whatever. The train up the mountain gets in about 7.16, I will be coming down from Hazo. Sunset is about 7.45 so bring your lights! Train at the other end back up the mountain from Glenbrook is at 9.13 which should give plenty of time.
Won't be race pace at my fitness level, just a social ride
If we don't get enough interest for tomorrow night I might shift this to Saturday if people like
Thurs Arvo - Social Ride - Ginja Ninja 250 loop
The city of Orange is around 4 hrs from Sydney and 3 hrs from Canberra. Kinross State Forest is situated on the northeast edge of town, a 10 minute drive or 20 minute ride from the Orange town centre.
Meet at the Bulgas Road carpark, Western edge of the forest.
Since we all know tapering our training before an event is important we'll have a social ride this Thursday instead of our normal club race.
This will be 3 days before the Ginja Ninja 250 so a loop (or two) of the GN250 track is in order I think.
The pace will be set by the slowest.
2013 BMORC Bash
Glenbrook station carpark.
Well - the 3rd running of the BMORC bash is on. Bring out your clunkers and lets RIDE! Get scabbing around the mountains in the council clean-up and get yourself a stunning rig for the Bash.
Remember - guidelines are:
1) Bike not to be worth more than $200 new or needs to be over ten years old.
2) No disc brakes.
3) You have to carry it out with you even if it is stuffed.
4) All stacks are your own fault for riding such a heap of S*&t
5) No clipless pedals (unless the bike came with them originally)
6) Must be prepared to have an embarrassing photo taken.
