You are here
Mountain (off road)
Andos + Oaks (Wingello is where I'll be heading)
Meet at Woodford Train Station to catch the train up to Wentworth Falls.
Although the keen can combine this with The Oaks in which case you'll want to meet down at Glenbrook.
Train leaves Glenbrook at 6:53am. Getting some kms in the legs ready for the Mont. This will be a step up from a cruisy Sunday but not flat out race pace. A few stops along the way eg Bedford Ck crossing, top of Bedford Ck climb, top of Oaks to refill water bottles, helipad, Glenbrook bottle shop
The Trig Ride
Meeting at the corner of Hawkesbury rd and Halcyon Avenue at 8am.
Outside the nursery, do not park in the nursery car park.
Ok, so this is the once in a lifetime ride that very few people have ever done, let alone heard of, the day will include, riding, mountain climbing( with bike over your shoulder ), breif bit of road riding, bit of yellowmundee xc track, a heap of bush bashing etc etc.
I have deliberately kept numbers down for the fact there will be a lot of passing bikes up to each other, and a big group would hinder this, we must ensure that food and heaps of fluid is bought along, i have written 6 hours but it may take longer, so beware!
Winmalee Saturday morning Ride
3 Halcyon parade, Winmalee
After our jaunt around Lazo, it is now time to head out to do all of Winmalee, this will be a shakedown for a planned ride/climb of the Trig ride, bit of a social get together of the boys of bmorc, so lets get our legs a happening and do the Winmalee ride, whilst you will be regaled with tyales of bravery, derring-do and "true stories" of riding mayhem, we will meet at the corner od Hawkesbury rd and Halcyon parade Winmalee, just outside the nursery!...9am meeting time!
Lawson/Hazelbrook
Hazelbrook railway carpark, on the southside of the line, next door to Selwoods puzzles!
Time to saddle up for a run around Lazo, after a chance meeting of Gilbo, Kingy and Wes at bikeminded, it is decided that Lazo must be ridden, starting off at the top track with some fast sweeping single track, then descending down the posties track down to the pallet section then up and over down to the 2 bottom sections, then some fun and furious descending down to the bottom of terrace falls, followed by a mad technical climb up to the top of terrace, then the technical fun begins and ends with the old DH track, lastly the big climb out to end the ride!
BMORC Bash
Glenbrook station carpark.
After being reminded about this on the Wednesday night ride, it's time to put it up for next year to give you all a chance to drag out your secret weapons.
Guidelines are:
1) Bike not to be worth more than $200 new or needs to be over ten years old.
2) No disc brakes.
3) You have to carry it out with you even if it is stuffed.
4) All stacks are your own fault for riding such a heap of S*&t
5) No clipless pedals (unless the bike came with them originally)
6) Must be prepared to have an embarrassing photo taken.
7) Anything else I have missed here....................
Blue Mountains Sunday Early Morning
Glenbrook station carpark.
Ok, last Sunday's ride clearly highlighted Hills as being a limiter in my current performance .
So, I have half a thought of trying to go Oaks up and down. This would have the additional advantage of cutting out about an hour of dubious entertainment on the 6.53 train up to Wentworth Falls.
Otherwise it is Andersons& Oaks again. Comments?
2011-12 CTMBC Twilight #13
The main rd in has been dusty as all get up so in an effort to keep on the good side of the locals it might be best to come in via the showground.
From the highway come into Rydal, cross the train tracks and take a left before the Pub (Showground signposted.)
Go around the top side of the show ground and follow the road around to the left. This will take you around towards the top side of the cemetery. from there a couple of cross rd will bring you back tot he bicentennial trail and thus the car park
It's that time of year again and we are kicking of the Tuesday night races.
September will be fortnightly and all riders will need Lights.
From the start of Daylight saving we'll go weekly again. Light will be recommended until atleast
November
Rego opens at 5:45 racing starts at 6:30
Head back to the Rydal pub for a beer afterwards. If you plan on ordering a meal give them a ring a couple of days before hand so they can organise the cook 6355 6208

Andersons/oaks
Glenbrook station
Coming down to do the andersons/oaks with a couple of mates and thought I would throw it out there if anyone else would like to join us. As I'm coming from Singleton the plan is to catch the 8.23am train from Glenbrook. We may move this start time forward if I can get down there on Saturday night.
