Wylde - Cecil Hills - Open ?

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Is Wylde track at Cecil Hills actually open to the public now? Seeing a number of posts from others but note it is still listed as 'under construction' and 'opening 24th August'. I drove past the other day but all the fences were still up. Looking forward to riding it - would love to get a ride in before going to the official opening.

Anyone have a feel for how Yellomundee will hold up after the past few days rain?

Emu Heights to Yellomundee

Does anyone know if you can ride trails from Emu Heights and link up with Yellomundee Regional park? If so anything one needs to be mindful of?

Looking for a Lake Parramatta Loop

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

If anyone can shoot me a good Lake Parramatta loop for tomorrow I'd really appreciate it. I rode out there last year but I'm sure I missed a lot of trails. I've got about 2 hours and I enjoy a bit of technical descending.

Any info greatly appreciated.

Looking for ridiculously easy single track in the area

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

I've got a friend who loves MTB but hasn't been in years. He's out of shape, just out of surgery, etc. I'm looking for something with carparks at both ends and mostly downhill. If you have any recommendations please advise on bike requirements. Currently all he has is a 1980s rigid.

As a side note I'm on a Norco Bigfoot. Is there anything interesting to hit up in the inner west?

Saw this posted on the Dirtz facebook page:

"It dismays me but an anonymous complaint has been submitted to Penrith Council in NSW, Australia re the LMX ( Luke Madill ) BMX track. Because its easier, Penrith Council are proposing to have the track torn down. The track features 2 x start hills ( Australia's first 8m ), dual straights on every straight except the finish. It has played host to riders across the World and currently plays host to all of the LMX club members, including many young children. The French team will even be using it to train on in the upcoming weeks.

Video Fullers Rd Res Downhill - Fred Caterson Res - Featuring Nthn Beaches Rider Pete?? who I met on the trail

Someone might be able to confirm that this riders name was Pete (my memory is poor) and loop him in on this video.

He was riding a Kona with Maxxis Ardent tyres - is a Northern Beaches local but currently between places and staying in the Hills area.

I thought he might like to see the video I took of him descending the downhill at Fullers Rd Reserve in the area around Fred Caterson Reserve.

Also thanks for the Tip on Linksley Reserve trail - I climbed all the way up to the backyard and had a chat to the guy who built the descent.
