From the highway come into Rydal and take a sharp left after crossing the railway. Follow the dirt road up past the houses. *Please* Be mindful of the locals, they bought places here to get away from the rat race so take it slow and keep noise to a minimum.
At the top of the hill take the left fork and follow the road past the cemetery.

Just a shout out to our Mts brothers and sisters

CTMBC host Tuesday night racing from 6pm. We were at Lidsdale but since the logging trucks rolled in have been hitting some new stuff at Rydal.

We get a few Bluies locals along and are always happy to welcome more.

We're not serious racer boys, you go as hard as you want, try and beat you previous times or your mate and just have a bit of fun.

I'm not sure if I can get there this week but Richard and a few others heading up to do a bit more work to cut some more trail and hit the existing stuff with rakes.

Follow the road around behind the cemetery and park before the big puddle. Follow the Bicentennial trail (main rd) up about 100 meters and you'll find the trail in on the left.

Ah how fun was that.

Last week I though we had made a good start on the trails with "Ants Pants" but was kind of dreading racing as we only had 800 meters of ST to about 2.5km of fire road. Heaps of potential just needed more work. Tuesday ight racing usual consists of 5-6 laps of a 3km loop. It's basically a 40min sprint.

In steps Richard Campbel.. He calls Sunday night,, "I've had my doitcher(sp?) out there today and cut some more trail to get rid of some of the fire trail"
Thus "Rags to Rich's" was born (Didn't have my gps but will add it to the data base shortly.)

The first couple of races will involved a fair bit of fire road until we can get some more time to fix up more trail.

Please remember the dirt road leading to the cemetery is a residential street and we don't want to up set the locals so go slow and keep noise down.

If it's raining the race will be off

So far so good

Rydal is a tiny and unique village, listed as a heritage site, set in magnificent countryside. Rydal remains a quintessential rural village with its invigorating climate and fresh air.

A plethora of old 4x4 and moto trails exist through the bush land here and CTMBC are hoping to make this area their new home,
