The Oaks Up & Back Plus Extras
Glenbrook station carpark.
This is my semi regular early Saturday morning blue mountains ride.
This ride is the Oaks up and back but with a couple differences.
Mt. York Adventure
Mt. York road, Mt. Victoria, at the track head of Lockyers Trail
EEEK DATE CHANGE!!!!
The trails in this area have a bit of everything and impress all that ride them, there's plenty of fast downhills and wonderful single track with techy bits to keep you on your toes. It's not considered hard but you will need good braking control, I wouldn't recommend this for beginners.

Oaks up and Back Twilight Ride
Glenbrook station carpark.
Ok, hoping some of you will actually keep me company on this but if i end up going alone I will probaby catch the train back down - think that ride in the dark solo could be a bit creepy...
Not a super fast ride as I will be there - if you do come please make sure you bring a beer for after the ride in the carpark - and also maybe some snacks, we were starving last time!
MEEE
The Oaks - noob ride
Glenbrook station carpark.
The work colleagues have got their act together and will finally make an appearance!
This will be casual paced and suitable for less experienced or less fit riders who are wanting to "do the oaks". All are welcome of course. We will pace it by the group consensus and regroup as necessary.
It's approx 30Km of mostly fire trail with an excellent single trail at the end and of course a very very testing hill riding out back to the car park.
We catch the train from Glenbrook (8:23) up to Woodford (8:54)and ride back to the carpark. Train ticket is required so bring a few $$$.
Yellowmundee XC Entertainment
There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
Here is one of the nicest XC courses around and it's paticularly nice in the late afternoon.
There is nothing really hard about the track, other than the usual difficulties one would experience on a track they've never been on before. It gets a bit tight in places and some trees are known to leap out in front of those not paying attention.
The climbs aren't overly tough and the descents are rather straight forward. A good place for the less experienced.
Ride pace will be medium.
Oaks Up and Back Twilight Ride
Glenbrook station carpark.
With this 24hr thing on the 14th and my current state of panic about my roid boy team I am planning to ride the Oaks up and back at twilight on Saturday 7th at about 6pm (like Paul did at Christmas). I am very hopeful that someone else will come along since I don’t really want to ride it on my own and would probably get lost, even though as we all know it’s an easy trail to find…

Bring plently of water, sunscreen, spares and food to get through.
Yellowmundee - Sandwiches and Pop

Just an explore as I haven't been here before, so if anyone is up for a ride and knows the way all the better.
Pace will be nice and easy, bring sandwiches and pop. All welcome.

Merry Chirstmas Nobs. Jeeten and I wanted to ride somewhere new and exciting...Yellowmundee got the pick. We'll be going for a casual ride and we'd be happy to have some more company. However, the pace will be steady and riders should have moderate experience so we can all enjoy the technical parts of the trail. I have room to give one person a lift out there from around the northern beaches.
