Bad luck and depressing find when cleaning
Giving the bike a good clean after a fun filled weekend riding around Canberra I found this; Luckily I'm a bit anal about cleaning things and took the cranks out to give the chainrings a proper clean - I'm guessing a bad crash was in the near future had I not found these cracks this early.
Weird thing is the cracks are on the top of the swingarm not the bottom; not sure how these formed as the force of my weight should crack from the bottom.
Whats happening at Knapsack ride day 27th Nov 2011 (note changed date MOD)
As we get closer to the time where decisions will need to be made, we thought it was time to get people back on their bikes and understanding what the tracks might actually look like, have a bit of a social with a potential BBQ and a few laps and or shuttles.
Whether you've been in deep with the detail or just new and curious as to what's happening then this gathering is for you

Posting topics on BMORC...and it ending up on Nobmob
Can someone please explain how a topic I posted in the BMORC Off Topic section ended up on Nobmob but not on BMORC where it was intended?
Free entry into 2011 SRAM Singletrack Mind Series Round 5
For being a vollunteer on the recent stage 3 track works at Mt Annan. My name was pulled out of the hat for a free team entry.
I have the choice of a solo entry, team of 2 or team of 3. Im going with a team of 3.
Grant and I are going so far and we need a third person to be on our team. The only cost is a $20 MTBA day licence if you do not have a current year round membership.
Details can be found here http://www.chocolatefoot.com.au/singletrack-mind...

feeling uninvited?
Recently I heard talk that some BMORC'ers were feeling that they were not invited on rides with NobMob'ers yet they always try to come to BMORC rides.
This is not the case.
All ride meetings are associated with the rides database on the web site.
Because the ride database on BMORC only shows Blue Mountains and Sydney West, you will only see events for these ride locations.
NobMob shows all trails local to NSW and its borders that have been added by users of the web site.
So all events posted on the trails can be seen in the calander.

Somebody giving back to volunteers ... worth supporting even if you don't like getting cheaper gear

BMORC trip - Ourimbah
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone is keen to head away from the mountains for a ride in the next couple of weeks?
I was thinking of heading up to Ourimbah for a day. Anyone ridden here? I hear the trails are very nice. A bit more trail oriented as opposed to the usual XC kind of stuff.
